How to Care for Your French Terry Boxy Tee
Because 100% French terry cotton has a unique loopback structure and a rich black dye, it requires proper care to maintain its structural drape, deep color, and soft feel over time.
Wash Inside Out: Always turn the shirt inside out before washing. This protects the smooth outer face of the fabric from friction and preserves any custom DTG or DTF prints from cracking.
Wash Cold: Machine wash on a gentle cycle using cold water (30°C) with like dark colors. Avoid washing with light-colored garments to prevent color bleeding.
Mild Detergent Only: Use a gentle liquid detergent designed for colors or darks. Do not use bleach or optical brighteners, as these will strip the deep black tone and cause discoloration.
Air Dry Recommended: Lay flat or hang dry in the shade to preserve the heavy 240 GSM structure and prevent shrinkage. Keep away from direct sunlight to avoid sun-fading. If you must use a dryer, tumble dry on the lowest heat setting.
Low Iron: Iron inside out on low to medium heat. Never iron directly over printed graphics or DTG/DTF designs.
